Take a step back and ask yourself which town deserves it most. The National Hockey League is down to its final four teams, but we should ignore the players for a moment and think about the people in the remaining cities. No doubt, fans in the other three want to win a Stanley Cup after getting this far.
Buffalo doesn't want one. It needs one. Tampa Bay winning the Stanley Cup before Buffalo did was bad enough, but Carolina? There's something fundamentally wrong when a franchise that generalizes itself across two states, one whose home arena is located on the third-best college campus in the region, wins a hockey title. more
