Singing A Song For The Sabres

The sweet sounds of Sabres cup fever echoed throughout 97 Rock studios Friday. A local recording studio is bringing back the original song from '75 when Donna McDaniel recorded "We're Gonna Win That Cup."

The original song was written by Buffalo's Tommy Calandra. Now, the 2006 version will have a little help from a host of local celebritites and politicians. The County Executive, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Baby Joe Mesi, even former Sabre Danny Gare were all on hand to sing that famous tune.

The song will debut on 97 Rock Monday morning. But it won't go to CD unless the Sabres go to the Stanley Cup Finals. http://wgrz.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=38130

If they HEAVY METALED that tune up, it would sell Big Time!
But it's still too mellow. The original fired me up more than that!
