Rumph directly refuted testimony offered the previous day by a police officer.

On the second day of his trial on a charge of driving drunk last July 6, Rumph did admit to rolling through two stop signs. But Rumph, 23, has maintained his innocence on the DUI charge.

"I didn't stumble, fall or lose my balance" during the sobriety tests, Rumph said Tuesday.

Police say Rumph's blood-alcohol level was .091. Under Florida law, it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level above .08.

The trial is to resume Thursday, with Rumph back on the stand for further cross-examination.

Rumph originally testified he did not know why he was pulled over. He changed that story under cross-examination Tuesday after admitting to rolling slowly through the stop signs.

Rumph was with a group at the Miami Beach club Level in the early morning hours of July 6. The group danced and drank in a VIP area, building a $420 bar tab after ordering champagne and two Courvoisier and cokes, which Rumph said he drank.

He testified Tuesday that his eyes were not bloodshot, nor was his speech slurred when his car was pulled over.
