    Teppo!!!!

NUMMINEN UPDATE - Buffalo's Teppo Numminen hopes to be ready to play in Game 2 on Monday night.
The veteran defenceman left the series opener Saturday late in the first period with an unspecified leg injury.

    Here's hoping.

Don't rush it, though. I'd rather us tough it out with a limited defense and have him 100 percent for Game 3.

      YESSAHHHHH!!

Can't wait to have Mair back so our 4th line will be as deadly as ever. Mair brings so much poise and energy to that line its incredible.

I pray Connolly has a quick recovery and plays Game 3 or 4.. GO SABRES!!!!

I hope he's ready for Game 2. I know the 5-man rotation can do the job if needed, but Teppo brings along the veteran leadership, as well as the skill.

Other than him, I just want to see Timmy Boy back on the ice. His offensive skills are missed (Wow, who could've said that in past seasons? ).

I agree. Kalinin and Connolly being missed hasn't really hurt the Sabres, but getting Teppo back and Mair (who is no Connolly) would be a big boost.

ive had the occasion a couple of times to play hockey with professional players and the one thing i learned quick is to keep your stick on the ice. those guys are frikkin amazing with their passes. i have literally had the puck hit my stick even before i saw it coming in. after learning this early i always made sure to keep my stick on the ice and one time a guy basically bounced it off my stick for a goal - made me look good but it was pretty much all him lol true

it's the playoffs...NEVER believe that a player is ready to play until he is actually dressed and standing for the national anthems.

Hearing he's participating in the morning skate is a good sign, but as EBENEZER said, until he's suited up and actually skating during the game, I'm not going to assume anything.

he went to take a shot, could not raise his arm properly and left practice...

Looks like the 5-man rotation again tonight.

Janik would dress but play sparingly.
