The local NBC affiliate in Baltimore decided to preempt Game 1 of the Sabres game to televise a local sportscaster talking about the Preakness race to be held four hours later. Not coverage of the race or the races before the main event...but simply some goofball TALKING about the race.
I understand the race is a Maryland tradition and there probably isn't a surplus of Sabres-Hurricanes fans in the Baltimore area, but seriously...who needs 4+ hours of pre race coverage?
Sorry, I had to get that off my chest...it was the major disappointment of the weekend...until the Sabres won, of course.
