Keep Keith Newman!!!!!

Why not keep Newman and cut Robinson? Newman is a much better athlete and probably won't cost as much. Then, pick up another OLB (Spikes, Colvin, Simmons, etc). IMHO, Gray doesn't use Newman properly.

I agree, Newman as the Blitz Specialist, and get a cover OLB like Spikes

Newman is too big and strong to be cut. He is WAAAAY underutilized.

I've been screaming the same thing to all of my friends. I actually own the Newman jersey!!! He was a sack specialist in college and two years ago comes up with 8 as a first time starter. Use his strengths. Even if we get Spikes, which I'm praying for, he's a sideline to sideline athlete. He's not a pass rusher like Newman is. It would be a great combo.

I liked Wiley, Foreman Holecek but they were all let go and played better for other teams. Well Holecek got injured. I think Newman will be good.

If GW and Gray fail this year, we may have let a good player go to waste.

I agree that we should keep him at SLB if he comes relatively cheap. Then we can blow our wad and sign a coverage backer for the other side - whether it be Spikes, Simmons, Peterson or Barber I don't care, just as long as its not Robinson again.

Gray and his D coaching staff miss uses their LB's I'm not sure if they would know how to use him right but maybe since their is a new LB coach they will, I say switch Newman over to the week side get someone like Peterson or Maslowski, Claiborne, Simmons and put at SLB
