Before that last penalty, they had only 4 shots in 10 minutes of penalties. Then they had six guys to 4 on the ice and couldn't generate any sort of a rush.
Also the last penalty on the Sabres was a BS call- both guys reached backwards for the puck at the same time and the Canes guy fell.
They fought hard at the end, but like usual in Buffalo sports, a day late and a dollar short.
