I disagree. I see Posey as more as a Phil Hansen-caliber player. He'll get the job done without making any big mistakes, but don't expect any game-breaking plays.

Also, Posey's too slow to play DE. Remember when he picked up that fumble at the 40 yard line and got tackled short of a TD even though he had a 10-yard head start? I could see him maybe moving up to the LOS to confuse the offense in obvious pass-rush situations, but that's about it.

Dont let this article fool you this is just a cover up for the mistake that TD made in signing a 3-4 LB to play in a 4-3 def, i mean really when we signed him he was suppossed to be a pass rushing specialist who was cut by 2 teams before catching on with Houston, who had one of the worst Def in the league at the time if no the very worst, he did nothing his first year and his second he had 8 sacks and we thru a bunch of money at him and he came here and has done nothing and nobody can convince me other wise, he shows no pass rushing ability, he gets plowed in the run game and he is an ok ceverage LB ala Marlo Perry, he is just awful and one of the major reasons are Def sucked last year say by to TKO and he had nobody to hide behind, he flat out sucked last year so we should pay him 3 mil a year way to go, let the kid start Angelo Crowell deserves it, he cant do any worse

You are right about the type of LB he is, but I wouldn't say he outright sucks. He's been solid....not great but solid. His #'s compare well to LOLB's in the league. He would be a better fit in a 3-4.

This move shows just how bad off our DL is.

BINGO! Chris Kelsay and Ryan Denney have just about wore out their welcome and underachieved here in Buffalo.

It could be that they are merely grasping at straws looking for a spot where he can be productive since Crowell is about to pass him on the depth chart.

But didn't they just re sign denny to a big contract? That is fine for a BACKUP but we are still lacking STARTERS at LDE and DT.

Posey is not going to be effective at DE either he sucks, i am sorry if u dont agree but we all know that teams pad the stats of players as well, i watch every game and posey is not in half the tackles he gets credit for, when is the last time u seen him get a TFL, never a sack maybe coverage, he is an over paid bum and needs to be replaced in order for our D to turn it around, we were 5-11 last year so in my opinion when a D goes from 2 to 2 last changes need to be made and everyone played like crap, Fletcher and Vincent included, alot of there plays are made down feild not at the line of scrimmage, troy is old let the other guys play

Posey is not fast enough to be a LB in the new scheme.

too bad Marv still rewarded Denney with a new contract after the trade with Chicago fell through.

Denney is depth nothing more, i will take him there because he is athletic enough to be on ST bobby april might of had something to do with his resigning, but i agree more needs to happen with Kelsay, Posey is definitly not the answer and i agree he has terrible speed
