The Erie Assassins will place C Matt Birk on injured reserve and will also release WR Craphonso Thorpe. Since Thorpe was inactive for all of last season, there will be no cap hit for releasing him.
The Assassins will select 2 more players in their place tomorrow and then have their roster back to 53 active players.
