There was no Indian Burial ground. But there was land taken away from the Indians in the Buffalo Creek Treaty.
“Phelps bought for $5,000 and a perpetual annuity of $500, a tract of about 2.25 million acres (9,100 km²) lying between Seneca Lake and the Genesee River.”
$5 G’s for 2.25million acres!!!!!!!!!!!! Even back then it was a rip-off.
My point????????
Is the curse of the Buffalo Creek Treaty broken? Although it’s nowhere near 2.25 million acres, the Seneca Nation of Indians were provided with water front property in downtown Buffalo. They’re going to use this land to build a Casino and make boat loads of money.
Did we right our wrongs?
Did that end the curse??????
Just a fun thought, Go Sabres!
