It seems the dolphins keep getting better all year long. I'm a big fan of who they drafted. Jason Allen is a great safety and Derek Hagan is said to be just like anquan boldin. I dont think we can beat them one this year. Saban really has that team going the right way. What do you guys think of the Dolphins and how do you think thell do this year

Re: The Dolphins
they're improving, and with NE slowing down and the Bills and Jets in turmoil, the fish could be the best team in the division. Until Culpepper is ready, they have QB issues and that will hold them back a little.

Re: The Dolphins
I understand the capabilities of Culpepper, but the Dolphins remind me a lot of us a couple years back when we went on that run to end the season. All off season I heard the experts picking the Bills as a wild card team for the playoffs last season and we all see how well that turned out. The Dolphins have some good talent no doubt, but I honestly believe they are being over hyped like we were last off season. They will be a pretty good team, not a great team.SUPER MARIO PLEASE COME TO BUFFALO!!!!

Re: The Dolphins
Culpepper has a LOT to prove before I give him props. He looked horrible w/o Moss on the field, that tells me that maybe he was chucking it up quite a bit and Moss' height and athleticism skewed Peps numbers. This on top of his knee, which will not be back to 100% until 2007. He will see the field much sooner, but a large part of Culpeppers game is his mobility and that will be limited for quite a while. Most of all I hate his attitude, who asks for a raise a year after they get a huge contract w/ no performance during that year? He may end up being a steal but he has a ways to go to get back to being elite as he was 2-3 years ago.

Re: The Dolphins
Yes, culpepper has to prove the critics wrong as far as playing at pro bowl form without a Moss. Even the dolphins knows this because they set out and gave up a draft pick for Joey Harrington. At least they tried to get a backup plan.

This is why I like philosophy of the D to run towards the ball. Should be interesting to see them go after Miami's wr/rb when Moolarkey calls for a reverse play....... in 3rd and inches on the goal line

We should all fear for our safety when they come to town... Bills security won't even let us bring signs into the stadium, how will we protect ourselves when Duante Culpepper and Marcus Vick try to turn The Ralph into a porno set?

The Fish have proven they can get by with crappy QB's, so I still think they're going to be at least decent this year,

Re: The Dolphins
I thought that they were improving until they signed Mike Mularkey and then Daunte Culpepper. Now they have assured themselves of offensive ineptness for a long time. Their defense is still good and will have to carry the team if they are going to have a winning record.

Re: The Dolphins
lol, is it just me or doesn't it seem obvious that the person that started this thread is a Dolphins fan--he only has 2 posts, and it looks like the one above was to just stir the pot.
I
've mentioned this before, but it sure seemed like Moss was hurting w/o having Culpepper throw the ball to him last year. Don't get me wrong, his numbers were still great, but compared to his previous season, they weren't Moss numbers. I would imagine when someone loses their Pro Bowl Center, a Pro Bowl Wr, their coordinator in Scott Linehan they may suffer a bit correct? It's amusing that peeps that are pro-Culpepper look at his career as a whole (stats wise,) but the naysayers only put the last season under the microscope as if that's the only thing he's ever done. It's also funny that we're slowly doing things to improve spots that were deficiencies pointed out by Bills fans in the past and now that we're on the road to improve them--bad coach, no QB, predictable defense, can't win in December, etc, they're still "going no where."
So far it seems like Saban is on the right track, have to give it more time to see exactly how everything will pan out for him. Like someone mentioned before, we were still doing ok w/ serviceable caretaker QBs, but now we have a Pro Bowl QB that is still relatively young in the scope of things, but obviously we'll have to see how his knee ends up. The most recent prognosis from the doctor that had done the surgery has said that he's doing exceptionally great and is ahead of schedule, but then again setbacks can happen. Harrington stunk it up in Detroit (duh,) but he still has a lot of valuable game experience and is still young--maybe he will still continue to be a sub par QB, or maybe he's young enough to take a new step in the right direction and improve for the best with the cliched new place/new system. You have to admit, the Lions franchise has been pretty bad for a long time now, I would imagine that would make a lot of people's careers take a nose dive. Our defense still has some playrmakers, albeit some of them (Taylor and Thomas) aren't getting any younger, but they seem to have really strived in the implementation of the 3-4 defense and it seems like Taylor did well at playing both a DE and an OLB (even w/ a foot injury--torn plantar fascia.) The old defense (4-3) did get predictable over time, but now w/ Saban's system they are able to employ so many new wrinkles especially with the blitzes (which is still wild to see a Dolphins team effectively blitz.) Also Don Capers now lending his expertise in the 3-4 system w/ his good friend Nick Saban. The secondary has been addressed with younger and faster players, and we're slowly getting youth to other parts of the defense as well. As far as winning in December, I guess it will have to happen more than just one year, but finishing 6-o last year was a good way to begin the stopping of that ugly trend of choking in December. Saban is changing the culture in Miami, whether you agree or not isn't the issue, the Dolphins are just focusing on the next play and not looking back. So good luck w/ your own team, it will be fun to watch in 2006.

Re: The Dolphins
90% of this thread just seems like wishful thinking to me. Honestly, some of you are really ridiculous. What sport do you people watch, midget tossing??? Because most of you don't know a damn thing about football, that... or you just plain refuse to accept reality.
MVP:
7-9 Daunte will be back to his 2005 season ways.
BuffaloBillsStampede:

Lost:
D.Bledsoe
T.Henry
TKO
P.Williams
Who they got:
Rosco Parrish????
Yeah, the Bills made huge strides in upgrading the roster in 2005, It was all MM fault for not coaching that huge mass of talent that found their way to Buffalo!!
HAMMER:

Culpepper has a lot to prove??? Why because you're to much of a homer to give the fins credit for landing a franchise QB? All but the first four games of the the 2005 season Daunte has been a premier QB in the NFL. He's been in the league since 99 and has been to 3 probowls and very nearly won league MVP. But he has something to prove?? Well don't worry, he will.
jfreeman:
It also seems that their entire roster will consist of ex-convicts and recently paroled criminals by opening day.
We should all fear for our safety when they come to town... Bills security won't even let us bring signs into the stadium, how will we protect ourselves when Duante Culpepper and Marcus Vick try to turn The Ralph into a porno set?
Whats the matter timmy, Mommy take your nook??? I love it when the two year olds sneek onto mommy and daddy's computer and start typing babble.
Let us know when you grow up and learn how to add to the conversation like an adult.

Skooby:
Mularkey = Mentally challenged
Mularkey + offense = Mentally challenged
Any team + Mularkey = under .500
It's a damn shame it take weeks, sometimes even months to put together one single thread of Bill fan responses that aren't full of stupid, uneducated, bias homer crap. Why aren't you people capable??
