In votes by their peers, Lindy Ruff was named Coach of the Year and Jim Rutherford is the Executive of the Year.

Lindy Ruff, 46, was chosen Coach of the Year in a close vote over Peter Laviolette of the Hurricanes and Tom Renney of the Rangers. Ruff’s peers sum up his performance, “Consistent all year. Exceeded expectation. Great job.”

Nice honor, but it's the mag's, not the NHL and a lot of coaches didn't vote at all. Still, it's nice for Ruff to get some nat'l recognition for the job he's done this year with the team.

My feeling is the Adams trophy goes to whomever leads their team to the finals out of the East.

It should go to Ruff. Nobody picked Buffalo to do anything this year and yet Ruff did an awesome job leading this team.

I agree, RS, that Lindy should get it....but I'm slightly biased :D, and the coach that deserves it the most doesn't necessarily win.
