All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
The eighth-seeded Oilers are headed to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1990. Edmonton wrapped up its series with Anaheim, beating the Ducks 2-1 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Raffi Torres scored the go-ahead goal on a deflection in the second period, helping Edmonton eliminate the Anaheim Mighty Ducks 2-1 Saturday night and advance to the Stanley Cup finals.
The eighth-seeded Oilers won the Western Conference finals 4-1 and will play for the Cup for the first time since winning it in 1990.
Edmonton awaits either Carolina or Buffalo, whose Eastern Conference finals series is tied 2-2. The Oilers are the lowest-seeded team to ever reach the finals.
"It's awesome as a team," goalie Dwayne Roloson said. "We came from the eighth spot, but it doesn't mean anything now."
The Ducks outshot the Oilers in all five games of the series, including a 33-25 advantage Saturday. But Anaheim returned to the offensive slump it was in the first two games, when the Ducks scored a combined two goals.
Raffi Torres...I used to hate that guy in the OHL.
Edmonton deserves this. Those fans deserve this. If Buffalo doesn't make it than I really hope they run over the Canes. There is nothing more disgusting than seeing a city that doesn't deserve the cup actually win the cup. See example one.
As for the layoff killing the teams momentum, this break is just what teh doctor ordered. The only reason they lost game four is due to the dfact that Rollie was throwing up between periods.
The Oilers are gritty and will tough it out against any opponent.
Not bad considering they were very close to be eliminated from the play offs all together.
When I die, please don't let my wife sell my camera equipment for what I told her I paid for it.
Tampa fans are the worst. Way too many other things going on here then hockey, kinda like football in Miami. Every game I have been to, which is either Sabers or Philly, you can count on more fans of the opposite team, including playoffs.
Not sure why but as a city people really do not get into hockey here. Kinda sad but the layoff after winning the cup really hurt it too. People had something to be excited about, then the layoff happened and people just forgot about the lightning.
