It's unbelievable the depths that ESPN will go to pretend the NHL doesn't exist. This was a hell of a hockey game that's now going to a Game 7 to send the winner to the cup finals...

... and it doesn't even make the front page of ESPN.com ANYWHERE...

They like to think the NHL doesn't exist now that they don't carry their games. I have a feeling they will offer the NHL a package next year.

ESPN is the Bonds station, everything Bonds all day..

The only praise the Sabres need are from the fans..

yeah, they led with that ****. NEWSFLASH....Nobody really cares about the NBA. Their season and postseason is wayyy too ****ing long. :ill:

NBA ratings from what I hear have been doing pretty good. I don't care for hoops either but I stopped watching Sportscenter long ago because I get sick of TO and Bonds plus they never cover hockey. When was the last time they showed an interview during sportcenter with a hockey player. Then again most of its viewers could care less about hockey.

and i still say that they should cut 10 games off the regular season for the NHL too. Both leagues are too long. I'm sorry, but you shouldn't be playing the NBA Finals or the Stanley Cup Finals in the 2nd week of June. That's just :crazy:

Well, I'd be concerned if they weren't. Broadcasting on ABC and ESPN they are pretty much in every household. If they can't dominate the ratings they should be worrying.

NHL should be happy they are doing VERY well in the ratings, considering their games are on an obscure network that doesn't even reach half the households in the country.

I doubt they have exclusive rights. The NHL would be stupid to allow that.

I don't see where it says that ESPN can't get any regular season coverage next year if makes a bid to buy a package of games.

Watching ESPN this morning, I would have never known that there was a Game 7 in the NHL but I would have known that there was a PRIMTIME NATIONAL SPELLING BEE ON ABC....Dude, I'm there :rolleyes: Bettman should be fired just for not getting NHL on ESPN even if he had to give the games away for free.
