I gotta tell you when I saw this thread my heart sank to my feet. I thought oh no something has happened, phew.

I understand that because of the Kelly's efforts and conscious raising and fund raising for research newborns will be screened for Krabbe's disease. When caught early enough there is some treatment (tissue transplant of some kind) that drastically reduces the symptoms (and deadliness) of the disease. Kudos to Hunter and the Kelly family.

simply amazing.. he is truely a fighter.. his daddy showed him right! man, that is such a feel good thing to hear.. the oldest living kid with it.. wow..

My prayer is that one day Hunter will live a normal life.
At the very least, the potential life they have given to countless children diagnosed early enough is immeasurable.
If anyone could symbolize the heart of Buffalo, it would be the Kellys.

Thanks everyone. It's amazing that he's still with us. Jill and I just like to think of it as a miracle...so miracles do happen.
