Verba's contract with Lions worth up to $20 million

Offensive lineman Ross Verba has at least recouped some of his losses from not playing in the deal that he signed with the Lions and could earn up to $20 million.

According to league salary documents, the contract will pay Verba, who did not play at all in 2005 after the Browns released him, $4 million for this season. If the Lions decide to exercise an option next spring, the contract would become five years in length and could be worth as much as $20 million, were Verba to play the entire term of the deal.

that's alot of money for someone who didnt play last year and was hurt most of the season before that.

He's playing LG and if he keeps a decent attitude will be a huge upgrade at the position.
