I've read on both the 'canes official boards and the espn hockey boards that Jay McKee is not making the trip to carolina because of a "leg infection"....... has anyone else heard this??? or anyone know anything about it????

Okay, if this is a 24 hour bug or something, you have to think a guy like McKee is going to fight through it.

If it's not bone or muscle damage, he has to play.

He can still fly down the day of the game. He is Canadien, if he can walk or talk, he'll be out there for a shot at the Cup. I have faith he'll play and he'll play his ass off.

The Canes should be embarrassed that the Sabres took them to seven games down 3 defensemen. Now we could be down 4 defensemen.

according to the espn message boards, McKee's agent said that if was a betting man he would bet that Jay would play tonight..... I'm just hoping that this is a ploy and McKee is fine and will show up at game time to shock the canes. I'm sure they are getting pumped up cause we're gonna be short another Dman.....
