1 (20) OLB Kamerion Wimbley - Florida State University

Ideal fit for the 34 defense. Wimbley has all the potential in the world and was an absolute beast at his workouts. He was also very strong in his interviews. Going to the perfect 34 defense both in Cleveland and in Jersey.

2 (40) S Daniel Bullocks - University of Nebraska

Ballhawking safety who also is strong against the run. Was the team leader and started since he's sophmore year. Has as much football smarts as just about anyone in the draft. Should start right away at FS in Detroit.

3 (60) CB Richard Marshall - Fresno State University

Physically he has everything you look for. He will be playing on a team with a strong front 7 that will help with the interceptions that he should get playing nickle in Carolina.

4 (80) S Ko Simpson - University of South Carolina

Alot of "experts" had him in going late 1st round-early 2nd round. Tremendous production and good physical tools. Speed is his only weakness but he still does run a 4.45 40. Will probably sit year 1 behind Vincent and Whitner but will probably step in year 2 for Vincent. Could play some nickle occasionally in year 1.

Comments from General Manager, Rick Olander

"We wanted to continue to build on our defense. Defense wins championships and we hope to continue winning by taking these players. We don't believe we have a true pressing need so we went with best player available in each round."

"Kamerion has the ability to be a special player. He has DeMarcus Ware and Joey Porter ahead of him but we feel he will push both of them."

"Daniel Bullocks is a true a gamer. His intangibles are off the charts. We couldn't ask for a better player both on and off the field. Everything we find out about him is positive."

"We were suprised that Marshall was still on the board. We were debating on him Daniel and another player in the 2nd round so we were very happy he was still sitting there. We really think Marshall has the chance to be a top flight cornerback."

"Another player we thought was suprised was still there was Ko Simpson. We feel he is as talented as Daniel Bullocks is which is why we took another safety. We had pretty much taken down our safety board but a scout had pointed out that Simpson was still there and we couldn't pass him up."

"We still have 4 more rounds to go so we defintely have plenty of talent to influx into our system but we are very excited about the players we have brought aboard."

Like the Wimbley/Bullocks picks.

I selected both in another league. Bullocks imo is going to be an elite FS. He has it all, and is very smart. Wimbley i believe, will be this years Merriman who also was selected 12th. Under Crennel that kid will flourish.

I like all of those picks so far, Bullocks especially. Wimbley should do well in Cleveland's 3-4 and Marshall could surprise many.
