I come into the hospital tonight...

    I come into the hospital tonight...

    And i am hit by the sight of about 50 people waiting in chairs for loved ones/friends in the ER. I get to the lab and a co-worker tells me I'll be running samples on a patient who will soon be an organ donor (i.e., dying). Kicks everything into perspective right away. It's a game, folks. Played for our entertainment. It's outcome neither validates nor denegrates us.

    I'm proud to have watched and rooted for this team and what they accomplished. Thanks guys.

    Go Sabres.




    For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.

                But he did go to the hospital and I figured he went to the emergency room and you know you can sit in those waiting rooms for HOURS.
