    Phil Savage comments

What do you think about Phil Savages preference for Christian football players? Is this really a big deal. It seems to make sense to me (Mostly, my Christian students are also harder workers and in less trouble. Seems that would easily carry over into adult life situations.)

There's a study that people who go to church are way more productive and more successful in life than those who don't. I forgot the percentage was.

An economist finds that going to church is more than its own reward

I guess this is also why people prefer players with high character and not necesarily 'religious"

well, statistically speaking, white people are less likely to go to jail than black people. It seems to make sense to me to prefer white players since they're in less trouble

Making judgements like that based on statistics can be a slippery slope, as op pointed out.

Did anyone conducting those studies control for citizens without cars?

Seems like a person without a car is both less likely to be able to get to a church and less likely to be productive in our oil driven society.

Most people who go to church don't like to lay the smackdown on someone running with a football.
