Should we re-sign Brian Moorman or look for a punter/kickoff specialist?

In case you didn't know...Brian Moorman is a restricted FA and all we have to do is tender him. But there are better punters that can also kickoff available via Free agency. What should we do?

Here's the list of available punters...

    1. Todd Sauerbrun (UFA Pro Bowler from Carolina)
    2. Chris Hanson (RFA from Jacksonville)
    3. Sean Landeta (UFA from Philly)
    4. Tom Tupa (UFA from Tampa Bay)
    5. Tom Rouen (UFA from Pittsburgh)

I think Moorman is going to be huge in this league. I wouldn't want to get rid of him. Last season is a testament to that.

Oh...and Moorman can kick off too. He did it the first year he was here. IMO the reason he didn't break-out then was because he played a full NFL Europe season.

Moorman is great!! Why would we ever get rid of him?? He should have been a pro bowler. Were you awake during the Green Bay game whe he boomed one all the way to the other side of the field???

I agree guys! But what the hell do we do about the kickoffs? Should we have Moorman do them?

I"d rather have a good punter than a good kickoff kicker.

Do any of the guys you mentioned, Mike, actually handle KO duties, and do it well? They would have to do it better than Hollis to even consider. Frankly, I'm skeptical. I'd like to see Moorman try KO duties a little in preseason to see what kind of distance he has when rested.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

I just don't think they will be long, high, and far enough...

Keep him - he's good, and given our current cap situation, we don't want to alienate FAs (that might want to come here) by getting rid of a player that should have been a probowler (which means he's obviously getting the job done).

If we can establish some inkling of loyalty in the mindsets of the FAs we'd like to get, it will make Buffalo a more desired place to play - or at least it won't hurt.

no doubt we re-sighn him, one thing he is very good and I believe will only get better, plus he will be cheaper then the other guys that Mike mentioned.
