So far this offseason, the position battle that has been the main focus of many involved with the Buffalo Bills has regarded the quarterbacks. Kelly Holcomb, J.P. Losman and Craig Nall have been duking it out this spring trying to gain the upper-hand on the job. Although that three-way competition receives all the attention, another battle is brewing, and it's happening on the defensive side of the ball. more

I think a lot depends on how well Spikes recovers from his Achilles injury. If he loses a step, but still has his strength and ferocity, he might be better suited to the strong side, with Crowell on the weak side, and Posey a situational pass rusher.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

I'm just not sure if he'll have the speed that he once had to play as effectively in space.Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

That is how it is. I hate it, but its football reality.

In terms of pure talent, Crowell should be on the field. Posey makes no plays and he really doesn't seem to be around the ball a ton. I understand he is a few inches taller than Crowell, but his height doesn't make him better. I am 100% behind having Crowell out there.
