If I were Tom Donahoe, my first order of business would be to get rid of Jay Riemersma, and go with Dave Moore - he has better hands, and I think he's a better Tight End overall. Then that would extend our Cap Room allowing us to compete more with other teams for the services of players that will fill the most needs on our team.
Secondly, I'd make an offer to Takeo Spikes - remember he's a tagged only so that Cincy can match any offers from teams that offer him contracts - so he's still a very real possibility for us. (remember after the Bengals game - he was quoted as saying something like - "Buffalo feels like home", and "I just want to compete").
Then, I'd gather film on all of the available FA DTs and get all my LBers together and make them watch film on them (or send them footage of them to their homes during the offseason), and let them make the suggestion as to which one we should go after first since they're the ones that the DT will be helping out the most.
And then contact that DT and his agent, and bring them in for negotiations.
I think we will be good at Safety next year with Coy Wire, and Pierson Prioleau (however you spell it), so I'd just add depth at Safety midway (3rd round or later) through the draft (get a Coy Wire clone that has great coverskills, and punishes recievers the way Coy Wire punishes runningbacks)
Then I'd offer P. Price a fair offer - if he leaves, then good luck next season as a number 1 with no Eric Moulds on the other side.
