    Wide Receiver situation

This year is unreal. We actually have too many good receivers that deserve a roster spot.

    1 - Evans is a lock. So that's one of a maximum of 6

    2 - Parrish is a lock.

3 - You have to think Reed is a lock considering the contract

    Leaving 3 spots left

Fast Freddie, Sam Aiken, Davis, Nance, and there is a couple other guys I can't think of.

I want every one of those guys on the roster.

IMO, we can't get rid of Fast Freddie, or Aiken.

I really like Nance, and he may have been the steal of the century, so Davis may be the odd man out.

I say Davis is out and that suprises me. I have heard very little from him in the OTA's. I thought he would be a great addition.

      You forgot Price and Wilson.

Smith is likely the odd man out and Aiken is going to have to do more than just be a special teams guy, especially since Bowen has been added. Wilson has been showing up in OTA's and Nance has too much upside to cut or even leave on the practice squad, not to mention the good news from OTA's. I think these 5 are a sure thing...
      Evans, Parrish, Reed, Price, Nance
...with these 3 competing for a final 6th spot...
      Wilson, Davis, Aiken
...Wilson is still practice squad elligible.

My 6: Evans, Price, Nance, Reed, Parrish, Aiken

Nance should be the slot guy day 1, imo hes shown more already then reed/parrish have since they have been here.

Aiken is to valuable on ST to let go, plus his a big possession type guy.

Although Aiken is a hell of a special teamer, he is a terrible receiver. April can find someone else to fill in on special teams.

I think you're over-estimating the talent level of the entire squad.

Evans is a lock...everybody else are unknowns or question marks.

                Evans
                Price
                Parrish
                Davis
                Reed
                Nance

With the rookies and veterans like Bowen, Watson etc. Aiken is not needed, and Smith is not needed if Williams, Parrish, Mcgee, and Davis are returning kicks.

Agreed. I think Aiken will get the cut, and Smith will most likely as well due to Parrish's return abilities. Aiken was supposed to be Moulds sucessor and he's had what, 4 years to prove it? He has done nothing other than be a ST ace. Cut
him in favor of a Wilson or a Nance.

Even though Wilson has been one of the most consistent playmakers at our OTAs, he will most likely be forced on the PS.

I think Davis will make it and will suprise some people getting ahead of Reed and maybe Parrish on the depth chart.

Because he was our #3 receiver and seemed to be able to catch 3rd down passes last year.

Reed started to show up last year and I think the play that denied NE the shutout was awesome. With the offense the way it was, he was extremely rarely put in a position to make a big play and the potential is obviously there. He has one more year in my book.
