Sorry that your team could not be a part of what has truely been one of the best Stanley Cup finals in a long long time. I would have liked the Sabres to be part of this drama.

This series has had it all:

The first 8th place team in the finals (Oilers)
The first succesful penalty shot (Pronger)
The first ever short handed overtime game winner (Pasani)
The first goalie since Roy to be a rookie off the bench and have success (Ward)
The first hometown boy to have a game winner in front of his home crowd (Pasani)
The first team to be down 3-1 and force a game 7 in long long time
The first steak to be thrown on the ice in a Stanley Cup final

Despite the outcome of tonight's game this has been one heck of a series and we Oiler fans have been on a roller coaster since the boys put Detroit out.

The consensus around town is no matter what happens, Edmonton is damn proud of the Oilers.

I think they've been on our side for a while Sab. Let's hope they are still in our corner tonight.
