WTF? Why would you take your wife's last name?

I got one. What is this Saving Silverman?
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
        It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I have no problem with it either. A friend of mine did that when he married some broad out in Vegas.

My fiance also requested I take her last name as her dad had not created a son to carry on their last name.

I decided not to eventually though.

Dora kept her last name- I guess that's the way most Hispanic people do it. It saved us a ****load of paperwork.

But taking your wife's last name? Get a backbone.

Nothing to do with backbone, Op. Sorry.

A lot to do with respect.

I just gained a ton of respect for Fletch.

I disagree completely. If she doesn't want to take his name, fine. But to take her name? Only a total ***** would insist on that, and only someone without a sack would give in to it.
