When you've got the best punter in the game it has to be hard to find someone who is willing to come into camp knowing that he has absolutely no chance of winning a job...but you've got to find someone to do it because you don't want your Pro Bowl punter hurting himself or wearing out his leg while you are working on your punt coverage and punt return teams in training camp. Well, I guess this guy figured that he could use a summer job--I could think of worse summer jobs for a guy who just graduated from college! And, who knows, he just might learn a thing or two from Moorman before he has to go and get a real job elsewhere....Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.Comment
