    Long season turns ex-Griz into Berliner

    Football was already a full-time job for former Kalispell and University of Montana standout Dylan McFarland. Then came this year.

    After spending most of the 2005 season on the Buffalo Bills' practice squad, McFarland was sent packing in March - to Hamburg, Germany, for a season with the NFL Europe Sea Devils.

    “I had about a month off in January is all,” said McFarland, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL draft by the Bills, and is at their training facilities in Rochester, N.Y., until the end of June. “I didn't have a whole lot of down time. Physically, it's never a problem. But toward the end of things, playing every snap for 10 games - it's a long season.”
