What i'm hoping is that they "leaked" this logo out there to gauge a reaction, just like the Buffalo Bills did with that B logo and then after hearing tons and tons of negative reaction, the logo never even made it out there, except for the hats that weren't destroyed.

Heres a couple problems with these jerseys that makes me believe they are NOT real:

- Why would the NHL slap "CONFIDENTIAL" over the logos if it needed to show them to venders/video game makers, etc.?

-The jersey has a CCM tag. All NHL jerseys, other than the Canadiens (and maybe one or two others) now have Reebok tags. There's also some weird effect going on with that CCM tag that I'm having trouble putting to words.

-The stripe pattern along the sides looks like it was just drawn on using Paint or some other program. Notice how the seem across the bottom in the white section of the jersey disappears in the darker colors.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I will be if this furry, leg-less "Buffalo", which looks more like a Croissant Breakfast sandwich than a real animal, is in fact the new face of the Buffalo Sabres.

As a lifelong Sabres fan, I worked several hours of overtime in anticipation of being amongst the first to purchase a new sweater. Instead, I will end up using the money to take my gf out to a nice dinner, rather than spend it on a sweater with a glorified breakfast sandwich highlighted by some blue stripes and a horn.

PLEASE - DO NOT EMBARRASS THE SABRES AND THEIR FANS by using this disgusting, legless, mulleted, squirrel-like, breakfast sandwich as the new logo. It resembles the Sabres, their fans, and the people of Buffalo in no way, shape, or form. I'd rather see a Star Wars light sabre on a purple shirt instead of this!

Good post! I can't stand that slug logo, but it looks much better in white and with the two Sabres underneath it. I could support that. :up:

Why on Earth would they make the Buffalo Yellow anyways? That's :crazy: White makes it look a little better and then put it in that circle, the logo balances out a LOT better. :clap:

Here's an idea nobody mentioned (i don't think)

Perhaps the Sabres front office are a little more clever than we give them credit for. This logo could have been intentionally leaked and made to look like classified info that was released unintentionally! Not as a tester to see what the response is (as some have mentioned), but as something to throw us completely off the trail!

That would be smart, get everyone riled up over an ugly jersey, then blow them away with something completely different!

I pray that out buffalo execs. are smart enough to do something like that. Not that I hate the buffaslug, but I would like to see a logo with referece to the "sabres" part of the team.

You can see a player crouched over ready for a faceoff in the background, I can clearly see the pants that were described by people who saw them at the practices, but does that look like part of the old logo on the jersey? below the dark stripe that goes up and across from the pants.

I really like the new font, the only thing I don't like is the slug. But that looks like a dark circle logo with a white shape in it.
