    Bills fans love their Cookie

In Wednesday's article about legendary Buffalo Bills running backs Thurman Thomas and O.J. Simpson, one name that wasn't touched on was fan favorite Cookie Gilchrist. I'll still hang onto my belief that Thomas and Simpson are the top two in Bills history, but it's hard to ignore numerous emails from the team's loyal fans, wishing Gilchrist would have been mentioned. It's certainly fair to say that, during his era, Gilchrist was among the American Football League's best backs. Although he was a member of an inferior eight-team league, his consistently great performances shouldn't be scoffed at. more

    Gilchrist reminds me of Bell.

Big guy who could bowl people over, yet deceptively fast in a sprint to the goal line.

    Both were head cases too.
