Urlacher for Couch? Give me a break.
There are outlandish rumors, there is far-fetched, ill-conceived gossip, and then there’s news of a rumored Tim Couch-for-Brian Urlacher swap that’s making the rounds.
What a one-sided beaut that one is. Urlacher would give the Cleveland defense the impact player it needs, while Couch would give the Bears … well, no one’s quite sure. Which is why such a swap would never be consummated, even though the Bears need a young, talented quarterback in the worst way.
What this speaks to is the growing sentiment in Cleveland that Couch needs to be sent packing, for his presence would put a damper on Kelly Holcomb’s coronation as the king of the Browns' offense.
