I have a bet with a couple friends that if J.P. is the starter for every game this year that we will finish 8-8. Do you think this is accurate and if not what do you think?

It's possible. Im thinking more like 11-5/10-6 if the Bills can get a few breaks.

9-7 maybe...but I'm really hoping for at least 10-6....

this team will not win more than 5 games. it wouldn't matter if joe montana was behind center

I would take a .500 season this year, regardless of who lines up under center.

What is the reasoning for the negativity?

seriously, I'll wait to see what I can tell from the rest of the team in preseason...who steps up at DT next to Triplett, how Whitner looks at SS, who gets the WR job opposite Evans, what the O-line looks like, how the TEs are incorporated into the offense, etc, etc.

Since when did you mistake reality with negativity?

8-8 is my cautiously optimistic view

I can see us going anywhere from 7-9 to 10-6, he'd put up like 2,900 yards, 17 td's, and like 10 interceptions.

I'm not sure what our record will be, because I agree with Phil that our success will depend on a whole lot more that who's at QB.

But I am pretty sure that we'll win more games with JP than we would with Holcomb or Nall.

7-9.

And by January, I predict we won't have any more quarterback threads.

I don't bet horses blind, without looking at the form.

I'll wait until I see camp and the pre-season. Then I'll have an idea the week before the opener.

I sure hope so, I'm getting tired of the same JP debate over and over

The Bills will be 10-6 if all the question marks are answered with resounding "YESes." They will be 5-11 if all the questions are answered with resounding "NOs." I am expecting something more along the lines of 7-9 or 8-8. JP is one of the biggest questions. For JP to step up and win the starting job and then play during the season like a solid 3 year QB would be one of the biggest positives the Bills could gain from the upcoming season.

Wow, you really do smoke crack. I mean, I normally just think of the whole 'smokin' crack' comments thing as someone giving you crap for being in left field, but you have seriously convinced me that you smoke more crack than Bobby Brown and Marion Barry combined.

Or maybe you didn't notice that the thread was about us going 8-8 with Losman, not Holcombe at the helm.

without the benefit of pre-season (not that it really tells you an aful lot) I will say we are 8-8 at best but more likely 6-10 or 7-9 .
