It's a position that has been in a state of flux since Ruben Brown's departure following the 2003 season. The left guard spot has been manned by four players the past two seasons if you count Mike Williams' less than successful one quarter experiment against Kansas City last year.

Realistically in 2004 and 2005 it was filled by three players. In 2004 Lawrence Smith won the starting job coming out of training camp, but was eventually replaced by Ross Tucker. Free agent signee Bennie Anderson then landed the position coming out of training camp in 2005. And while Smith and Tucker were capable linemen, Anderson struggled.

Oops, we also signed Pennington, our 7th rd. pick

Bills offensive line coach Jim McNally is most impressed with Pennington's 36-inch arms.

"He has a heck of a reach to push pass rushers around the corner," said McNally. "Obviously he was a seventh round draft choice so he needs to work on some things, but he's a willing kid and he's a good kid. He's pretty smart."

"I can't wait to go to camp. I want to show the Bills that I've already made some improvement and show Buffalo that they made a good pick. I will be working hard and playing hard and giving my all so they know they picked a good guy and a good player. I won't do them wrong."

Isn't that where Tutan Reyes is supposed to play? We also have Preston but I don't think he's ready to start, based on his performance last year.

Here we go again. Forgive me for saying so fellas but you two are getting as bad as ICE and Pat.It got pesonal with both of them. If OP feels I'm getting personal, I'll back off and be the first one to apologize. We just don't see eye to eye when it comes to point of views but we got along fine in last years opener.
