The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed free agent defenseman Doug Janik to a two-way contract today, Executive Vice President & General Manager Jay Feaster announced.
"Doug Janik is an experienced defenseman who, we believe, is truly knocking on the door of playing full-time in the NHL as demonstrated by his strong play during the Eastern Conference Finals this past season,” Feaster said. “He is a high character player who fits well within our team-first philosophy. This signing provides us with some much-needed depth at a very critical position, and we expect Doug to challenge for a spot on our roster at Camp." more
