Why is nobody concerned about RB.

Obviously McGahee is the starter but it is obvious that our midget backup (Shaud Williams) can't hold McGahee's jock strap. I hear nothing about Gates who looked very good in preseason before getting injured . After that it's pretty scary with Jackson and Thomas.

My point is that if McGahee goes down for a game or 2 we are screwed!!Shaud Williams should not even be on the roster.

I agree our depth at RB is scary. Shaud Williams is not an every down back and if A train is in there teams will blitz JP until he pukes- he's no threat to break a long one. A train is like the old Woody Hayes story about another back "if you need 3 yards give it to A train and he'll get you 3 yards. If you need 8 yards, give it to A train and he'll get you 3 yards". I would've liked to have seen us take a flier on a RB late in the draft, but we'll just have to make do this year. But your point is well taken.

Other than secondary and maybe linebacker this team is thin across the board its not just RB

I'm concerned about the starting RB, let alone the depth.

And Gates may come around in his second season. So we're deeper than last year, but that isn't saying much.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Beyond McGahee, we're grabbing at depth like most teams. Everyone else is a leap of faith and the concern is always legit.

Welcome to the cap age where quality depth across the board doesn't exist.

Re: Why is nobody concerned about RB.

With questions lingering about A-train from the past couple years, Buffalo lacks proven quality depth, but it's not a huge stretch to think A-train could come back or that Gates could be a terrific backup. So, while there are going to be questions, I'm pretty optimistic that something will pan out OK.

I think Anthony Thomas will be fine... as long as the offensive line shows improvement.

We're too busy worrying about every other position, as well as the coaching staff, GM, and owner. Take a number.

RB is one of the few positions i'm NOT worried about.

Willis will be fine.. and if something happens, Thomas is a very capable backup.

We have MUCH bigger problems than RB, like trying to stop an offense so Willis can even get on the field.

i am more concerned that Willis can handle carrying his own jock strap when he manages to stay healthy! He seemed to crumble when Bills needed him most. He is more boast that performance.

As long as our o-line plays together then it won't matter who's back there!

shaud willams sucks-----hes too small to make the pop warner team around here---i think that willis and the a-train make a pretty good running back duo-----willis hasent even had his break out season yet (this will be his year), and the last time the a-train was any good , he was playin for jauron in chicago---i think he had 2 pretty good seasons and then he feel off the map when jauron left---i excpect mcgahee to ave a break out season and he will show the world that he really is the nfl's best rb and not just talk and i think that the a-train will get back on the tracks and have a great season also since he will be reunited with his old coach dick jauron---nothin to worry about at the rb position for buffalo----unless someone gets hurt!!!!!!!!!!then the bills are screwed!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
