I recently solved my first Rubik Cube. After years of trying unsuccessfully, I decided to turn to the Internet. I found a few websites that showed how to solve the puzzle. All of the solutions were long, complicated and time consuming (well it wasnít that bad) It took me a few hours but I was able to solve the cube. Does the fact that I had to use the Internet solution taint the accomplishment?

Absolutely! The whole idea of Rubix Cube is for you to figure it out yourself. The best I ever did was to solve 2 sides at a time. In order to solve the whole thing, we bought the book that showed us how to solve it. I guess most everyone "cheats" to get the thing solved.

Congratulations! :) At least it kept you busy for a bit, huh? lol :D

My goal was to memorize the process and be able to do it in under 5 minutes. But when I finished it, it looked so nice that I didn't want to ruin it.

Yes but can you leave 7 pegs with no moves. (I think that's what they ask for) The toughest move on that game. I can't. I once got it down to 4 pegs.

After I solved my Rubix Cube, I left it alone. I'm not gonna destroy it. I'd never figure it out again. lol That was like 15 years ago. lol

It's easier just to take the stickers off and put them back where you want them.

I disapprove of this post since it ruined my sense of self worth. -1 point!

LMAO!! My brother did that!!! He also took one of the minitures apart and put it together "finished". The only thing is that it had the tendency to fall apart after that. :(

Good Idea country.......and I protest the point deduction. I was trying to keep you motivated. You athletes get all that money, fame and accolades and it goes to your head. You need people like me to keep you focused. I should get 30 bonus points.

Did you hear about the hispanic-looking males who've been washing up on the shores of Miami, clutching multi-coloured puzzles?

They call them Rubik's Cubans

You can't remove the stickers and have it look like the same cube, cause they curl up.

You can however, take the whole cube apart and put it back together.

My son has a Star Wars Rubix Cube that only has 4 squares and I can't even get that one to work.

I guess this makes it "Official"...the 80s are making a comeback...The only thing thats needed to make this complete is to see groups like the Eurythmics and Depeche Mode start touring...:chuckle:
