I admit I could very well be wrong.. I remember him wishing everything but death on Wilson when his struggles went public recently.

No, actually I kinda did go as far as RW death before. He needs to give the reigns to younger folks like Marv but that had nothing to do with the team moving. If RW didn't properly prepare a plan of exchange to his heirs or a suitable sale, the death taxes would force the family to sell the team, to whom I cannot say.
