All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I think the thing that I understand the least about the “realists”
Re: I think the thing that I understand the least about the “realists”
There's a lot of generalization there, and I think you'd have a lot more merit if you would talk about WHO you think gets "joy out of telling us how bad we're going to be."
I sure as hell take no joy in the fact I think the Bills arent going to be good this year. I cant really think of anyone else on here either, unless they are a Miami fan (or in one case, a Panthers fan)
I do agree there are people on here who think we're gonna suck that would rather see the Bills suck just so they can be right. I really hope I'm wrong, I'd love to see the Bills be a contender.

And
The fervor with which they try to show us how wrong we are.
I don't get any joy out of the Bills being bad.
When I'm convinced I'm right, I always defend my point with fervor. If I thought the Bills were going to be good, I'd have just as much fervor in trying to convince the "realists" that they're wrong.

Besides "Hope" and "Faith"..
WHy doesnt someone present some evidence floating around in their heads as to WHY the Bills will be good THIS YEAR, instead of this "Homer" or "realist" crap..
Maybe someone will present me with something that I do not currently see.

There can't be any evidence that the Bills will be good since the season is in the future. I don't think many of the homers would bet their life savings that the Bills will be good. They just won't accept that the season is going to be horrible before any games are played.

You're hoping for the joy of being able to say "I told you so".

Hey, it's easier to pick non-winning lottery numbers than winners. Look at me. I'm still 100%!

I predicted the Bills would be bad in 05 and I never did the "I told you so" thing until people started criticizing my predictions for this year a few weeks ago. I'd much rather be wrong and have the Bills do well.
