You know, this whole thing has really gotten out of proportion.

I think there are a few morons on here that I would call "homers"- people who honestly believe this team is good and headed for the playoffs. And there are a few morons on here that have gotten the name "realists' who think this team is doomed no matter what.

The rest of us are the same in that we aren't expecting much but differ only in whether we take the "Well, you never know" attitude or the "this season will suck" attitude.

I am a Bills fan who thinks its silly for a team to have a new head coach, coordinators, rookie GM, defensive scheme, a minimum of 6-7 new starters, lose a couple of high-profile vets, and don’t even know who my QB is to win more than say five games this year.

If I am labeled a "realist".. then whatever.

though I do really like the direction we're going.. You gotta crawl before you can walk.. As much as it sucks, the last six years mean nothing, this is an entirely new organization now from the GM on down.

I'm a homist.

An optimistic fan who thinks that we finally have a design to work with, but not yet good enough to challenge.

I am very happy that we no longer draft 160 pound non English speaking individuals, or people in the recovery room, at positions we don't require because they are a steal.

That would pretty much be me, too, but that optimism and belief that we are at least pointed in the right direction sometimes gets you tagged as a Homer.

There's one thing we can almost all agree on..
What's WORSE than being a "Homer" or a "Realist" is being BI POLAR and not being able to make up your mind for more than a week at a time.

I'm neither...

I just like the Bills plain and simple...

I do seriously doubt that we'll make the playoffs this year.

Of course last year, and like the 3 or 4 years prior to that, I thought for sure we'd make the playoffs - I was wrong. Hopefully, I'm wrong again.

I lean a little more toward homer because I tend to have a little to a much more optimistic view of the Bills final record than national pundits, but I'm not so much of a homer that I really think the Bills are going to make the playoffs.
