The most important position in any team sport is football quarterback. A great QB can make an ordinary team a playoff contender and a below-average QB can doom an otherwise good team.
Here are my NFL rankings of QB situations entering this season. The starting QB is the major consideration, with minor attention paid to depth. These rankings are based mostly on projected 2006 performance, taking into consideration age, durability, injury issues and recent past performance.

28. Buffalo. If an NFL team has a three-man QB "competition" (J.P. Losman, Craig Nall and Kelly Holcomb), there is a decent chance it doesn't have one worthy starter. The big hope is for Losman to have a breakout year. It could happen, and if it does I'll be pleasantly surprised.
