I just got off the phone with the Buffalo News. Apparently, they do an afternoon paper and Sunrise edition. The webpage, Buffalo News.com is the sunrise edition and this is also the copy that all people in other cities get. Anyways...I talked to the head of the sports department via phone and it has been confirmed. According to Buffalo News and their sources...everything that B. Leonard said is true. This is the blurb inside of today's afternoon edition of the Buffalo News....

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Buffalo Bills have decided to place a franchise tag on receiver Peerless Price to keep him off the free-agent market The Buffalo News has learned.

The Bills were expected to inform the National Football League of their decision by the end of business today, according to a team source and a league source...

No problem. All you gotta do is call the 800 number that is located in their issues. I called them and asked them about the afternoon edition. She transfered me to the sports department and then I told them who I was and what site I worked for. He confirmed that it is in their paper today and are reporting this.

Mike great job. I sure hope there is a trade in the balance because with Peerless we'll score 50 points will give up 60. Hopefully we can move up into the 1st round ang get a studly OLB (Boss Bailey) or a studly DT (Kevin Williams, Rien Long, Dewayne Robertson) And still have the cap room to go after spikes or the less expensive (higly talented) simmons.

IF this is true and I do not doubt for a second that Mike or Bleonard were told anything otherwise but I can't see us getting a mid-first round pick for him straight up. To get a first I think we need to give up our second or third round pick depending on the position...
