All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
The fallout continues on Long Island.

Now that he's out of the Islanders org. the Sabres should hire him to replace Scott Arneil I think he would make one hell of an assistant coach and he could make Briere a superstar since Briere is molded out of the same mold as Lafontaine. He could also help Afinogenov put the puck in the net. Briere said in the interview the night we retired #16 to the rafters that he grew up idolizing LaFontaine. Or the SABRES could fill Don Luce's spot in the scouting dept. LALALALALA LaFontaine!!!!
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.
I don't know how he would do as a coach, but I'd like to see him in the organization at some level. He has exactly what Ruff is building in the Sabres.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't repeat myself.

And let's face it, he realized that the Islanders brought him to NY just to be a "face" of the team. It was like what happened with Dan Marino with the Dolphins. Once he realized he had no say, he wanted out. i dont blame him.

Pretty much thought the same myself. He could be a good "face" to put on the admin.
