But God forbid a Bills fan who doesn't think the Bills will have a winning playoff season with all the turnover, and we're defined as a "realist" which in all of your opinions is little more than another word for "hater", which is absurd.Comment

I absolutely LOVE the direction that the Bills are going in.. I LOVED the draft, I love the GM move, while I dont like the head coaching move I love the new overall coaching staff, especially the coordinators.. I love the fact we didnt mortgage the future on any one player in free agency.. and for the first time in several years I feel this team is headed the right way LONG term.
However, I just dont see it coming together in just one year, especially given the shaky QB situation... To me, this is a 2-3 year process.. My goals and expecations are to come together as a team and an organization, improve as a team every week and start playing like a team instead of 22 individuals.. I want the young guys to get as much good experience as possible. If these things happen and we go 5-11 or even a little worse I still won't consider the year a dissapointment. We go into next FA in good cap shape and if we address the lines (DE and LT) with good veterans and have another solid draft I think we can contend by 2007.
I just hate being labeled a "realist" by this board's defintion because it sounds to me by BZ standards as a negative.. I want the Bills to win as much as anybody, i just dont think its going to happen THIS Year.
Do I think its POSSIBLE to win? Of course. Football is a funny game and a couple breaks here and there means an extra 3-4 wins.. History shows me with this kind of team we're headed towards 3-5 wins.Comment

How can anyone have followed the Sabres last season, and not realoize that anything can happen, particularly when an organization has good people at the top and a plan for improvement?Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
