All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Buffalo Sabres defenseman Henrik Tallinder has signed a new four-year contract with the team.
Tallinder was a restricted free agent, and was scheduled to have an arbitration hearing on July 26. Last season he made just under $592,000.
This past season Tallinder had a career year with 21 points, scoring six goals and 15 assists. He scored two goals and six assists in 14 playoff games before suffering a broken wrist in Game 3 of the Eastern Confrence Finals.

Henrik Tallinder enjoyed his best season by far as a Buffalo Sabre in 2005-06. On Friday, he received his reward.
The defenseman agreed to a four-year contract with the team. Terms were not disclosed, but Tallinder, 27, certainly received a huge increase. He earned $591,800 with the Sabres last season, and would have been eligible for unrestricted free agency after the 2006-07 season. more
Nice to see we're trying to keep some members of the team that was an injury away from the Stanley Cup Finals
I don't really have much new to add to this thread. I must concur with the rest:
I'm just estatic it's a long-term deal, and not another crap 1-year deal. The 1-year deal is becoming all too common in the NHL for many. Kudos to Darcy, and give Danny his 5 years if he wants it---He's worth it.
