What I'd like to discuss is how many years the deal is for. "Multi-year" deal doesn't tell me crap. For what Darcy usually gives out, 2 years could be "multi-year" or "long-term".

Where did you see the 3 year figure?

I read the Sabres.com article, too, and noticed they had no information about the length. :confused:

either way, now the front office is panicing and signing players to deals they never offered, example, Kotalik... he made less than 1 mill last season, they just threw a 3 year contract starting at 2 million at him to get him to sign before arbitration, which they woulda gave him prolly 3 or 4 million,

This is a good signing and at least keeps a nother componenent in place

my honest opinion,

Kotalik, Max, and JP are gone.... that would account for about 12 million a year... maybe more..
