Bengals middle linebacker Odell Thurman has been suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policies.

Thurman became the team's starting middle linebacker as a rookie last season, when the Bengals made their first playoff appearance since 1990. Thurman was excused from the team's minicamp last month for personal reasons.

"It's very disappointing to us that Odell has this misconduct with league policies," coach Marvin Lewis said. "I am very disappointed. It's something that he needs to get in line in his life."

I was thinking that they are now Miami North. Nice job that Marvin Lewis is doing. Just imagine if Marv went there, he'd literally have to cut almost the whole team. The Bengals are the opposite of good character right now.

Marvin has a history of this and it appears its only gotten worse since becoming a head coach...he likes to take on high talent, low character players in hopes of turning them around but to date he's has very little success.

The Bengals official team vehicle should be a police car.

They will be coming to the games in a paddy wagon instead of a bus.

Lewis will probably have to hire a probation officer as his new Assistant Head Coach.

unlike the other ******s who've been in trouble recently, this is a big blow to the Bengals on the field.

After years of sucking on the field, you gotta love how the Bengals handle a little success.
