This is messed up. This right here is gonna screw up any type of structure when it comes to signing draft picks.

It should be easy. Each selection gets a little more then the one in the previous year and less then the person drafted in front of them.

It should be like the NBA where there is a designated salary for rookies where they are drafted. There isn't any need to negotiate because it's all done. There are no rookie holdouts in the NBA.

Williams deal was topped out at $64M with escalators.

So, in fact, Young got less guaranteed money and less total value, despite his being a QB (who traditionally get more).

Bush will be slotted right in the middle somewhere, despite what his agent might say.

That is all fluff, it is all about the guaranteed money which Mario got about 1.5 mil more. Just because someone signs a contract that is "potentionally" worth 58 mil or 2 mil more that Mario does not mean that player will achieve those incentives ( like a 2 mil bonus for being the MVP of the superbowl).
