It's July 29th. He's got almost a month and a half until the opener. With his work ethic, he should be ready to go by then.

Hard to tell from there. I'd have to see it in person or in several photos. Maybe Mikey can sneak a peek for us.

Half of Takeo's leg is actually Mario Hagan's...

good catch JJ but I still share Hurricane's concern. The more I read about it, the more worried I am. A lot of the stories about how well he's diong come from TKO himself and not the team or the dr's. He desperately wants to get out on the field and wants to pump up his teammates and fans. What he says has to be taken with a grain of salt.

I'll say this. I suffered the same injury at the end of March and I amazed all the time at how quickly I am healing. TKO has the best trainers in the world at his disposal, the best everything. I don't and I anticipate I will be able to jog at the six month mark. Why can't TKO be 100%

The way I look at it is, if ANYBODY will recover 100% from this injury, it will be Takeo.. He's the most intense, insanely focused athlete I've ever seen. I think he could be decapitated, and he'd find a way to get back on the field. Throw him a sewing kit, and he'd stitch that s--t up himself!

I do share some of the concerns - though, I don't think its a matter of if, but when he'll be back to his old self. I was just pointing out that he doesn't have some freakish, atrophied calf on the side of the injury.

TKO will be just fine.

I'll take 80 or 90 percent of Takeo Spikes over almost everyone else.

Absolutely..
His mere presence in the huddle will do a lot for the defense

Spikes watch
Takeo Spikes participated in the individual portion of practice and got some 7-on-7 snaps, but did not participate in 11-on-11 team work.
"I'm not getting too high and I'm not getting too low," said Spikes. "I'm taking each day for what it's worth."

I'm hoping for the best but IMO he will be at around 70% tops this year. My hope is he gets back to 90% by next season. IMO, he will never be the same TKO however.

I watched the LB drills this morning pretty closely to see how he was moving compared to the other LB's and he was moving just fine doing all the thing the other guys were doing. He was planting well and getting burst off it.

and why is jfreeman pointing out to the camera to tko?

Drive 4 Five

Here's a novel idea. Maybe Meathead should create a poll on whether or not TKO will be 100% by the start of the season. Then we'll know for sure.

Is it just me, or is Takeo wearing regular sneakers, and not turf shoes?

Who is that in the middle between Crowell and TKO? Is that Fletch? What the hell is with the thermal socks?!! That's a heat-stroke condition waiting to happen. I know the region has a reputation for cold-weather football, but someone tell that guy it's 90 and humid for pete's-sake.

Dude, Having a ball in the back of your leg doesn't mean you have anymore power. TKO is freaking ripped from stem to stern, muscle memory will kick in and he'll be back.

excellent post JJAMEZZ. A good example of your observational skills.

The question is not whether or not TKO will be at 100% of what he was before...the question is if he will be 100% of the level he's capable of playing at now. If he lost a step so be it.

When TKO came out and said he wasn't playing in the preseason games it was pretty clear he wasn't going to be playing at 100% of what he's capable of when the season starts. The problem is when you are not at full capacity you greatly increase the odds of reinjuring or even having another seeminly unrelated injury.
