    Re: McCargo Hospitalized...... No Joke

Pittsford, NY - Rookie defensive tackle John McCargo was taken to the hopsital Saturday night, long after the Bills wrapped up their second practice of the day at St. John Fisher.

The team tells 13-WHAM Sports that McCargo, who just signed with the Bills Friday, was taken in an ambulance to the hospital for precautionary measures around 6:30 Saturday night.

13-WHAM Sports has learned doctors are running some tests, but the Bills had no further comment on what caused McCargo to be taken to the hospital. We are told that McCargo is expected to be released in time to be back with the team for a closed practice session on Sunday afternoon.

I guess those two 30 yard sprints where more than he could handle.

This is also being reported by the Rochester D & C in the sidebar to this article: http://www.democratandchronicle.com/...42/1007/SPORTS

                "McCargo treated

Rookie defensive tackle John McCargo was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital on Saturday night as a precaution, WHAM-TV (Channel 13) reported.
The station said McCargo was transported from the Bills' training camp at St. John Fisher College about 6:30 Saturday evening. He was in the emergency department under observation late Saturday.
The 6-foot-2, 295-pound McCargo signed a five-year contract on Friday...."

Hopefully the team is being extra cautious because of the weather conditions.

It's a good thing for the media to get all hyped up over.

Unless there was a priest with his last rites gear following him, I'm sure he'll be just fine. The next few days they should go easy.

Pads tomorrow for the first time, and the next three days are supposed to be the most hot and humid of the summer so far according to weather forcasts.

The trainers better keep their eye's on everybody, but especially the big guys.

I agree. With that said you'd think McCargo would be used to the heat considering where he played. I think he finally realized that he had enough money to be on Cribs!!!

If he's going to be released quickly, it's likely little more than dehydration/heat exhaustion. A heart problem would keep him awhile.
