McGahee: "I'm doing it for me"

Bills | McGahee wants to prove he's the best
    Sun, 30 Jul 2006 07:33:11 -0700

Sal Maiorana, of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, reports Buffalo Bills RB Willis McGahee said last season he was the best running back in the NFL and he'd like to prove it this season. Based on last season's performance, some thought McGahee would back off his words, but not so. "I don't regret anything I say or do," McGahee said the other day when the Bills opened their seventh training camp at St. John Fisher College. "Things just didn't go my way last year, but I'm not going to worry about it. I'm not going to say anybody else is better than me. I don't have to prove nothing to nobody except myself; I'm doing it for me."

I don't think Willis will ever be a real team guy, or the kind of unselfish, high character player that Jauron and Levy love.

I just hope he runs for a ton of yards and scores a bunch of touchdowns, which will make his self-centerd attitude a little easier to handle.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

      Please do.

And take the pressure off Losman like you were supposed to last year.

Losman needs to take the pressure off of Mcgahee, they know we're gonna run, and stack the box!

I agree 100%. Can't run if other teams don't respect the passing game. If Losman is named starter they will make Losman try and beat them.

Can't run the ball if you don't have a complimentary passing game.

              Right on YardRat.

The run sets up the pass......unless your name is Kevin Gilbride.

McGahee needs to get the **** over himself until I see something come out of him where I actually mutter the words "damn!".

See...I think WIllis comes across wrong and will do anything for us.

He caught lots of swing passes in the drills and a few in the 11 on 11 yesterday. I was there. Spoke volumes to me.

More of him and Lee Evans, plus some throws to the TE is a GOOD thing.

Willis needs a non-Terry Schiavo OL, and he needs to be on the field on 3rd down and goal line situations.

I hope his head gets even bigger and he breaks the rushing record.

Teams are going to stack the box reguardless of who is under center. This shouldn't be a suprise to anyone. And I am almost positive that the coaches know this.

And I don't care who Willis is running for as long as he runs his ass off. He can run for Mark Twain or Cobra Commander for all I care.
